In July 2017, African Gist was appointed a member of the AU Brussels permanent mission Diaspora Youth Task Force. This task force has as purpose to bring the African Diaspora Youth closer to the African Union.
The Diaspora Division serves as hub for implementing the African Union decision to invite and encourage the African Diaspora to participate in the building and development of the African continent. Its main task therefore, is to serve as a catalyst for rebuilding the global African family in the service of the development and integration agenda of the continent.
The AU diaspora youth Task Force official launch will be held in Brussels on November 2017.
